No Free Rides

Ever been in a server, busting your hump to find some gold or diamonds, spending hours looking and trying to establish yourself, and you come across a palace built of nothing but gold and diamond blocks? Kind of saps your motivation. That kind of thing won't happen here as nobody (except me - and that includes all mods) has spawn item permissions (and I will not spawn anything as I want to play the game properly, working hard for what I achieve).
I spent probably 7 hours mining, crafting and exploring to get enough stuff to sell to CobbleMart (I found gold ingots, iron ingots and brick blocks a good source of income) to afford the $20,000 block (lot 10) in downtown Cobble Creek. I am part the way through building on it now.

P.S. Have not found and diamonds yet!

This was a post I made about the old cobble creek (just before I made it publicly available). Things are much more difficult since the 1.0.0 restart. You really have to work hard now.

yeah i was aware it was an old post, in about 1.5 and 1.4 you had to work much much harder, since there was much less diamond and iron, pretty much ores in genral..

the server only started in 1.8, 600k or what ever you had ment you were poor, I had about 400 million back in 1.8, and could easily get another 100 million in like 10 mins work.
